Chrome Sherb is not a hype-driven cross. It is the product of years of selection and of genetics passed from one breeder to another. The mother is the Z-Road cut, an unreleased cultivar bred by Jaime, a close friend and family member of Grounded Genetics and a respected name in Barcelona’s legacy scene. The pollen donor is the breeder’s own reversed Ultraviolet Sherb.
Z-Road started with a selected Road Dawg female (Stardawg x Biker Kush) from Karma Genetics, pollinated by a Face Off OG BX2 male. A standout male from that progeny was then used on the original Zkittlez cut, and from those seeds came Z-Road: a fusion of sweet candy Z and powerful, fuel-heavy OG.
Ultraviolet Sherb has its own story. In 2020 Grounded Genetics reversed the Runtz cut onto the original Sunset Sherb to make Designer Sherb, then picked an incredibly dark, almost black phenotype with wild, fizzy sherbet terps from a hunt of eighty seeds. To improve production they dusted her with reversed RS11, and a further hunt produced a keeper that kept the Designer Sherb magic while adding structure, yield and commercial viability. That keeper, reversed and used on Z-Road, produced Chrome Sherb.
Candy, Fizzy Sherbet and OG Fuel
The flavor blueprint is clear from the parents even though the breeder does not publish tasting notes for the final cross. From Z-Road, expect sugary Zkittlez candy cut with a heavier OG and Dawg fuel backbone. From Ultraviolet Sherb, expect the fizzy, push-pop sherbet sweetness that made Designer Sherb stand out. Individual plants will lean candy, sherbet or gas to different degrees.
Effects are inferred rather than documented. OG and Dawg lines usually add weight and body presence, while Zkittlez and Sherb lean happy and relaxing, so Chrome Sherb is expected to deliver a potent, contented high that grows more physically relaxing over time. Gas-dominant phenotypes will likely hit harder than the candy-forward ones.
Growing Chrome Sherb
With OG Kush family blood on the Z-Road side, some plants may stretch more than a typical Sherb, so topping early and training the canopy flat is a good idea in tents. Ultraviolet Sherb was specifically selected for better structure and yield, which should help keep the flowers dense and productive.
Designer Sherb was prized for its near-black color, so cooler night temperatures late in bloom may help darker phenotypes show their full range. Keep airflow strong around tight colas and use a good carbon filter: between the OG fuel and the candy sherbet, the late-flower aroma is unlikely to stay quiet.

FAQ
What is Chrome Sherb a cross of?
Chrome Sherb is the Z-Road cut, bred by Jaime from Barcelona’s legacy scene, pollinated with reversed Ultraviolet Sherb from Grounded Genetics.
Where does Z-Road come from?
Z-Road started from a Road Dawg female (Stardawg x Biker Kush) from Karma Genetics crossed to a Face Off OG BX2 male. A selected male from that cross was then used on the original Zkittlez cut.
What is Ultraviolet Sherb?
It is Designer Sherb (Sunset Sherb x reversed Runtz) crossed with reversed RS11, selected to keep the fizzy sherbet terps and dark color while improving structure and yield.
What does Chrome Sherb taste like?
Expect sugary Zkittlez candy and fizzy sherbet sitting on a fuel-heavy OG backbone, with the balance varying by phenotype.
Is Chrome Sherb easy to grow?
It should suit intermediate growers. Top early, train the canopy flat to control any OG-style stretch, keep airflow strong and use a carbon filter in late bloom.
How many seeds are in a pack?
Each Chrome Sherb pack contains 7 feminized photoperiod seeds from Grounded Genetics.
