Ayahuasca Purple is one of the most eye-catching plants in the Barney’s Farm catalog. Built from Red River Delta x Master Kush, this 100% Indica feminized strain turns shades of purple and ruby red as it ripens, and it carries 24% THC behind its good looks.

Short, heavyset plants with wide fan leaves hold colossal, dense buds that smell of papaya, hazelnut and flowers. The experience is deeply relaxing, with a dreamy edge that hints at the name.

Barney’s Farm received a gift of Red River Delta seeds several years ago. When the team grew them out, the plants stood out for their purple and ruby red coloring and their sturdy, broad-leafed frame.

To lock in those traits and push production further, Barney’s Farm crossed the Red River Delta with its well-known Master Kush. The Kush side added density, resin and a fast finish, and the result is a compact indica that keeps the vivid colors of its exotic parent.

Aroma, Flavor and Effect

The aroma blends papaya, earth, flowers and sweetness, with a nutty hazelnut note that becomes clear once the buds are broken. It is an unusual, tropical-meets-forest bouquet that fills a room quickly.

The flavor lists lavender, mango, nutty and tropical notes. Mango and tropical fruit lead the inhale, lavender adds a floral lift, and a toasted nut finish lingers on the exhale. It is smooth, rich and very different from the usual Kush profile.

Growing Ayahuasca Purple Indoors and Outdoors

Indoors, Ayahuasca Purple stays compact at 90–110 cm (35–43 in), which makes it a great fit for tents and small rooms. Flowering takes 55–65 days. Topping once and opening the center with LST spreads the weight across several colas and lets light reach the lower sites.

The buds grow so dense and heavy that branches need support in the final week of flowering. Plant stakes, a trellis net or yo-yos prevent breakage. Cooler night temperatures late in flower help bring out the deepest purple and ruby tones.
