LST and SCROG are highly recommended. Training the main branches outward and weaving them through a net creates an even canopy of tops, improves light penetration, and turns that sativa stretch into extra yield rather than wasted height.

Odor control is essential. Seedstockers advises running a carbon filter from day one of flower: the fuel aroma starts early and becomes overwhelming quickly. Under LED, expect 500–600 g/m² (1.64–1.97 oz/ft²) after about 10–11 weeks of bloom.

Outdoors, Sour Diesel needs warm, sunny climates and a long season. Plants can reach 200 cm (79 in)+ and produce enormous sativa colas, with harvest typically arriving from late October to early November.
