Diablo’s Delight XL Auto is one of the newest additions to the Sweet Seeds catalog, released in February 2025. It blends an elite Watermelon OG clone with the red-flowered Diablo Rojo XL Auto, producing a juicy, tropical autoflower with up to 24% THC that finishes about 8 weeks after germination.

Some plants develop reddish hues as flowering begins, framing dense, resin-laden buds that smell of fresh watermelon and ripe fruit. The effect is strong yet balanced, moving from euphoria into a smooth, lasting calm.

Diablo’s Delight XL Auto (SWS113) is a fourth-generation autoflowering hybrid. Its base is a selected line of Diablo Rojo XL Auto (SWS110), itself bred from Dark Devil Auto (SWS38) and Strawberry Cola Auto, prized for compact structure and resinous red flowers.

To that base, Sweet Seeds added an elite Watermelon OG clone from its R&D collection, chosen for its aromatic punch and visual appeal. The final mix is 53.4% Indica, 45% Sativa and 1.6% Ruderalis, giving a tall-stemmed plant with an Indica-style build.

Aroma, Flavor and Effect

Fresh-cut watermelon and ripe tropical fruit dominate the nose, sweet and cooling at once. A subtle citrus brightness and a soft earthy base round out the profile and add depth.

The flavor lingers on the palate for a long time, like a slice of chilled watermelon eaten on a sunny beach with a squeeze of lime. Juicy, sweet and refreshing to the end.

Growing Diablo’s Delight XL Auto Indoors and Outdoors

No 12/12 switch is needed, since the plant blooms automatically. Keep it under 18/6 or 20/4 from seed to harvest, about 8 weeks in total, and sow directly into a final container of around 11–19 liters (3–5 gallons) to give the XL roots space.

The plant has short internodes, a generous central bud and numerous strong side branches. Indoors, LST in the early weeks lets those branches rise toward the light and evens out the canopy for 450–550 g/m² (1.47–1.80 oz/ft²). Good airflow keeps the dense, resinous buds in top shape.

Outdoors, it thrives in warm, sunny spots after the last frost. Plants reach 60–130 cm (24–51 in) and produce 50–175 g (1.8–6.2 oz) per plant, and the reddish tones tend to show more clearly with cooler nights.
