Nigiri pairs a celebrated West Coast cut with one of Grounded Genetics’ signature sherbet lines. The receptor is Xeno, a Zkittlez x Kush Mints selection originally hunted by Alien Labs. Grounded Genetics received the cut from a friend in Los Angeles in 2021 and has used it across several breeding projects since.
The pollen donor is the breeder’s own Ultraviolet Sherb, a reversed keeper bred for bag appeal, fizzy push-pop sherbet terps and improved vigor. Together they promise a layered profile the breeder sums up as candy sherbert, tropical fruit, cream and gas.
Like every Grounded Genetics release stocked here, Nigiri comes as feminized photoperiod seeds in packs of 7.
How Ultraviolet Sherb Was Built
Ultraviolet Sherb started in 2020, when Grounded Genetics pollinated the original Sunset Sherb clone with reversed Runtz to create Designer Sherb. From that seed stock they kept a very dark phenotype with standout bag appeal and loud, fizzy sherbet terps.
Flavor was never the problem; production was. So the Designer Sherb keeper was hit with reversed RS11 pollen, and the breeder hunted the offspring for a plant that kept the Designer character while improving structure, vigor and yield. That keeper, reversed, is the pollen behind Nigiri.
On the other side, Xeno brings the sugary fruit of Zkittlez and the minty, creamy, gassy depth associated with Kush Mints, giving Nigiri a more savory, rounded edge than a pure candy cross.
Aroma, Flavor and Expected Effect
Expect a nose that shifts as you break the flowers: sweet sherbet and candy first, then tropical fruit, then a creamy, faintly minty gas that lingers. Some phenotypes should lean candy-forward, while others pick up more of the Kush Mints cream and fuel.
No lab figures are published, but all four grandparents come from high-potency modern lines. The effect typically leans toward a balanced hybrid: an uplifted mood up top with a calm, settled body. Experiences differ by phenotype and by person.
Visually, expect dense dessert-style flowers with strong trichome coverage and a good chance of dark coloration inherited from the Ultraviolet Sherb line.

FAQ
What is Nigiri a cross of?
Nigiri is Xeno (a Zkittlez x Kush Mints cut originally hunted by Alien Labs) pollinated with Grounded Genetics’ reversed Ultraviolet Sherb.
Where does Ultraviolet Sherb come from?
Grounded Genetics created Designer Sherb by hitting the Sunset Sherb clone with reversed Runtz, selected a dark, fizzy keeper, then crossed it with reversed RS11 to improve structure, vigor and yield. That selection became Ultraviolet Sherb.
What does Nigiri taste like?
The breeder describes complex terps blending candy sherbert, tropical fruit, cream and gas. Expect sweet sherbet up front and a creamy, gassy finish.
Is Nigiri easy to grow?
The Ultraviolet Sherb side was selected specifically for better structure and vigor, which should help. Basic training such as topping and LST, plus good airflow, keeps dense flowers healthy.
How strong is Nigiri?
Grounded Genetics does not publish THC figures, but the lineage is made up of potent modern cultivars, so expect a strong hybrid.
How many seeds come in a pack?
Each pack contains 7 feminized photoperiod Nigiri seeds.
