Pineapple Express is a legendary 60% Sativa hybrid, and Barney’s Farm’s version crosses a Hawaiian landrace Sativa with Trainwreck. Pineapple Express Lineage: Hawaiian Landrace Sativa x Trainwreck

The Hawaiian parent is a landrace Sativa shaped over generations by local farmers, and it brings the tropical fruit terpenes and the bright, energetic character. Trainwreck is a pioneering hybrid built from Afghani, Mexican Sativa and Thai landraces, and it adds potency, resin and a spicy, woody edge.

Together they create a Sativa-leaning plant with enough Indica structure to keep the buds dense and the flowering time reasonable.

Aroma, Flavor and Effect

The aroma is unmistakably tropical: fresh-cut pineapple, tropical fruit and mango, with pine, cedar and spice underneath. Break a bud and a funky, skunky citrus note rises too. It smells like a pineapple sliced open on a cedar picnic table.

The flavor lists citrus, pineapple, earthy and pine notes. Sweet pineapple dominates the inhale, while earthy pine and a hint of spice ground the exhale.
