The breeder crossed its classic LSD with Super Magnum Auto, a heavy-producing autoflowering line, and the result is a 70% Indica / 30% Sativa autoflower with 24% THC that runs from seed to harvest in roughly 65–70 days.

Despite its reputation, the plant itself is not fussy. Barney’s Farm describes LSD Auto as simple to grow, yet it does not recommend it to first-time consumers because the effect lands hard and fast. That split personality is the whole appeal: an easygoing grow that finishes with buds that demand respect.

Indoors, plants stay between 80–100 cm (31–39 in) and cover the floor with up to 550–650 g/m² (1.80–2.13 oz/ft²). Outdoors they stretch a little further to 100–130 cm (39–51 in), with each plant giving around 280–350 g/plant (9.9–12.3 oz/plant) of musky, earthy flowers.

To make an automatic version, the breeder paired it with Super Magnum Auto, part of its own heavy-yielding autoflowering family, so the cross would inherit both the ruderalis timer and serious production.

The outcome leans Indica in structure. Expect a sturdy central cola, short internodes and side branches that fill out quickly in the first weeks. The Indica side keeps the plant compact enough for small tents, while the 30% Sativa share shows up in the bright fruit notes and the lively first wave of the high.

A vigorous parent like Super Magnum Auto helps LSD Auto push through early growth without stalling, one reason Barney’s Farm calls it straightforward to cultivate.

Aroma, Flavor and Effect

The bouquet is earthy and musky first, with herbal and skunky edges that grow louder as the buds ripen. Beneath it sits a soft floral earthiness that keeps the smell from turning harsh.

On the palate, the profile turns surprisingly bright. Mango and citrus open the draw, then a sweet-and-sour tang gives way to toasted, earthy chestnut on the exhale. It tastes a little like ripe tropical fruit eaten next to a fire of autumn leaves: sweet up front, warm and grounded at the finish.

Barney’s Farm lists the effect as euphoric, sociable and relaxing, with a noticeable body high. The onset is quick, and the breeder notes a slightly psychedelic, perception-bending edge in the first wave. Growing LSD Auto Indoors and Outdoors

As an autoflower, LSD Auto does not need a light-schedule change to bloom. Run 18/6 or 20/4 from germination to harvest; the plant switches to flowering on its own after three to four weeks of growth. Many growers sow directly into the final container, around 11–15 liters (3–4 gallons), to avoid transplant setbacks.

Indoors, a medium-sized tent handles the 80–100 cm (31–39 in) height easily. Gentle tie-down training in weeks two to four spreads the canopy and helps the side branches catch up to the main cola. Avoid heavy topping late in veg, since autos have little time to recover.

Because the cycle lasts only 65–70 days, growers in warm regions can fit more than one run into a season, and short summers are less of a problem than with photoperiod plants.
