Royal Queen Seeds

What Is Royal Queen Seeds?

Royal Queen Seeds (RQS) is one of the best-known cannabis seed banks in Europe. The team was breeding long before the brand had a shop. In 2010 they opened their first store on Damstraat in Amsterdam, and in 2011 they launched the website that put RQS feminized seeds in the hands of home growers across Europe. Today the company is headquartered in Barcelona, and its catalog covers timeless classics as well as cutting-edge genetics.

RQS selects its seeds from organically grown plants and tests every batch for germination. The goal is simple: seeds that sprout, grow true to type and reward both beginners and experienced growers.

The First True F1 Hybrid Cannabis Seeds

In 2023, the same year it started distributing in the United States, Royal Queen Seeds introduced the first true F1 hybrid cannabis seeds to the market. F1 hybrids cross two stable inbred lines, which gives plants hybrid vigor: more uniform growth, bigger yields and strong potency. Strains like Apollo F1, Medusa F1, Titan F1 and Milky Way F1 brought that technology to home growers, and newer photoperiod F1s such as Orbital Banana F1 and Cosmic Cheddar F1 continue the line.
