S.A.D. Sweet Afgani Delicious F1 Fast Version by Sweet Seeds

S.A.D. Sweet Afgani Delicious F1 Fast Version is a feminized photoperiod F1 hybrid built around one of the sweetest and most aromatic strains in the Sweet Seeds catalog. Listed as variety SWS53, it flowers in just 6–7 weeks indoors, about one week sooner than a standard photoperiod version, and produces very dense, large buds loaded with resin.

At 90% Indica and 10% Sativa, with 15–20% THC and a notable 1.8% CBD, it delivers a calm, happy effect wrapped in a very sweet, musky bouquet typical of Old School Afghan plants. The breeder lists a 3rd Prize in the Outdoor category at the 4th Copa Cata Zona Norte in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2018.

Lineage: S.A.D. Auto Meets Black Domina ’98

Sweet Seeds crossed a selected genetic line of S.A.D. Sweet Afgani Delicious Auto (SWS24) with a Black Domina elite clone selected in 1998. The auto parent supplies the fast flowering, while the Black Domina clone adds power, density and its deep aromatic character. That pairing is typical of the F1 Fast Version line: photoperiod F1 hybrids that bloom earlier than their traditional counterparts.

S.A.D. Sweet Afgani Delicious F1 Fast Version is not an autoflower. Indoors it needs a 12/12 schedule to start flowering, and outdoors it follows the seasons. What comes out is a heavy resin producer with a powerful nose and a remarkably quick bloom.

Aroma, Flavor and Effect

The bouquet is exquisitely sweet and musky, rich with spicy, floral and fruity notes over an earthy base with a touch of hashish. It evokes the Old School Afghan plants of the past, like opening a carved wooden box that has held incense, dried fruit and a block of dark hash for years.

The effect is calm and grounding, relaxing both body and mind while lifting the mood. Sweet Seeds lists it as relaxing and happy, and its 1.8% CBD gives the experience a rounder, softer character than many high-THC Indicas. It suits slow evenings and quiet downtime.

Growing Indoors and Outdoors

Indoors, a short veg and the switch to 12/12 lead to harvest in 6–7 weeks. With optimal parameters, the breeder reports 400–500 g/m² (1.31–1.64 oz/ft²). Plants stay compact and vigorous, which makes them ideal for a Sea of Green with many small plants, or for small tents where height is limited. Keep humidity moderate late in bloom, since the buds pack in very tightly.

Outdoors, in full sun with a good soil mix and adequate nutrition, Sweet Seeds puts production at 350–550 g/plant (12.3–19.4 oz/plant) per plant, completing the cycle quickly. The compact build handles wind well, and the 2018 outdoor award shows how well it performs in the open.
