Permanent Jealousy XL Auto by Sweet Seeds

Permanent Jealousy XL Auto is a seventh-generation XL autoflower released by Sweet Seeds in February 2025. It crosses an elite “Super Strong” clone of Permanent Marker with the breeder’s own Jealousy Z XL Auto.

Permanent Marker, bred from (Biscotti x Jealousy) x Sherb Bx1, collected Strain of the Year honors in 2022 and 2023. Here it adds citrus, menthol and woody terpenes to the Sour Diesel and earthy base of Jealousy Z XL Auto.

Plants are vigorous and productive, with dense, resin-heavy buds that suit extraction. They reach 40–120 cm (16–47 in) and finish in about 8 weeks from germination.

THC runs 20–28%, among the higher figures in the XL auto line. Yields reach 400–500 g/m² (1.31–1.64 oz/ft²) indoors and 50–150 g (1.8–5.3 oz) per plant outdoors.

Lineage: Permanent Marker x Jealousy Z XL Auto

The base is a selected line of Jealousy Z XL Auto (SWS108), itself bred from Sweet Mandarine Z XL Auto (SWS102) and Jealousy. Into it, Sweet Seeds introduced a Permanent Marker elite clone for its distinctive citrus, mint and wood aromatics.

The result is a tall-stemmed modern hybrid of 63.2% Indica, 36.6% Sativa and 0.2% Ruderalis, with a mostly Indica structure, abundant branching and short internodes.

Aroma, Flavor and Effect

The bouquet is diverse: bright citrus and cool mint up front, woody hints in the middle, and a Sour Diesel and earthy base. Candy-like notes of gummies, chewing gum and cookies round it out, along with a skunky edge.

On the palate citrus freshness meets a clean, minty lift, then spicy Diesel and earth balance the sweetness. It is like peppermint gum unwrapped in a lemon grove next to a fuel pump.

The effect is balanced: a tranquil euphoria that keeps the mind clear. It feels stimulating and creative, with a happy mood that can linger for a few hours.

Growing Permanent Jealousy XL Auto Indoors and Outdoors

There is no light switch with this autoflower: keep lamps on 18/6 or 20/4 from sprout to harvest, about 8 weeks in total. Start in a final pot of roughly 11–20 liters (3–5 gallons).

Indoors, the bushy, short-noded frame at 40–120 cm (16–47 in) benefits from gentle tie-downs and some leaf thinning to open the dense canopy. Expect 400–500 g/m² (1.31–1.64 oz/ft²) with strong light.

Outdoors, plant in full sun in well-draining soil after frost. Each plant yields 50–150 g (1.8–5.3 oz) per plant. Keep an eye on humidity late in bloom given how dense the buds become.
