Strawberry Cheese Cake is Humboldt Seed Company’s dessert strain built on two heavyweights. Years of backcrossing between the breeder’s own PPD and the Forum Cut of GSC produced an Indica-dominant (70% Indica / 30% Sativa) feminized line with 28-30% THC.
The plant combines the density of GSC with the outrageous sweetness of PPD. Buds come out compact and caked in huge trichomes, and the line is a great washer, returning up to 3% in ice water extraction.
Despite its Indica lean, the effect is balanced and uplifting, with a sweetness that reads like a slice from a corner bakery, making Strawberry Cheese Cake a dessert strain for a day of exploring rather than a nightcap. Expect moderate variation between plants and a 65-day bloom.
Strawberry Cheese Cake Lineage: PPD x Forum GSC
The cross pairs Purple Panty Dropper, now known as PPD, with the Forum Cut of GSC. PPD brings sweet floral fruit and reliable growth, while the Forum Cut adds dense structure, heavy resin, and a doughy, cookie-like base.
The line is listed as F3 S2, meaning three filial generations followed by two rounds of selfing to steady the profile. The breeder notes moderate variation, so popping a full pack can turn up a keeper that leans toward either parent.
Aroma, Flavor, and Effect
The aroma is strawberry jam over buttery cheese. Sweet fresh berries lead, then a rich, creamy tang settles underneath, just like the dessert. The smoke is smooth and sweet, with a jammy finish that sticks around.
Imagine a slice of cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries, still cold from the fridge. That creamy-fruity balance is rare among modern dessert strains, which often lean too far toward pure candy.
The effect is listed as balanced and uplifting. A clear, happy lift up top pairs with gentle body ease, and at 28-30% THC the experience is strong. It suits long walks, creative days, and social afternoons.
Growing Strawberry Cheese Cake Indoors and Outdoors
Indoors, Strawberry Cheese Cake flowers for about 65 days. Plants stay fairly compact, typical of an Indica-leaning hybrid, so top once and train the branches outward to build an even canopy of dense colas.
Outdoors, harvest falls between October 1 and October 15. The GSC density means tight buds, so choose a sunny spot with good airflow and thin the inner canopy before autumn dew sets in.
For hash makers, the huge trichome heads are the main event: the breeder lists washes of up to 3%. Harvest when most trichomes turn cloudy and freeze fresh for solventless work. For flower, a slow, cool dry keeps the strawberry jam note front and center through the cure.
