The Real Amnesia by Growers Choice Seeds

The Real Amnesia is Growers Choice’s answer to a long-standing problem: almost every Amnesia seed on the market was crossed with White Widow to make it stable, which diluted the legendary Dutch haze into a frosty plant with only a hint of the original. Growers Choice spent around a year and a half working with the real Dutch Amnesia clone, producing seeds without adding any white strain to the mix.

The result is a 30% Indica / 70% Sativa feminized strain bred from Amnesia x Amnesia, delivering the true lemon-haze aroma and the yield that made the clone famous. THC is listed at 24-26%, and the plant flowers in about 9 weeks indoors, fast for such a sativa-heavy haze.

This is a big, vigorous plant. Indoors it stretches to 130-160 cm (51-63 in), and outdoors it climbs to 200-240 cm (79-94 in). The payoff is serious: 650-750 g/m² (2.13-2.46 oz/ft²) indoors and 750+ g/plant (26.5+ oz/plant) outdoors, with harvest at the end of October.

Few strains smell this unmistakably Dutch. In late bloom, pungent lemon and spicy haze pour out of the tent like the doorway of an old Amsterdam coffeeshop.

Flavor and Effects: Lemon, Spice, and Classic Haze

The profile is pungent lemon and spice wrapped in a proper haze. Sharp citrus peel hits the nose first, followed by warm pepper, incense, and a dry, woody earthiness that lingers on the palate. It is sour, spicy, and slightly sweet, without any of the creamy dessert notes found in modern hybrids.

Smoking it feels like squeezing a lemon over a spice market stall on a hot afternoon. The citrus flashes quickly, but the haze hangs in the air long after the joint is out.

With 70% sativa genetics, the effect is mostly cerebral. Expect an uplifting, energetic rush that sharpens focus and gets ideas flowing, with a strong sense of euphoria and motivation. A light body calm sits underneath, but it rarely tips into heaviness.

That makes The Real Amnesia a natural daytime companion for creative work, long walks, or lively conversation. At 24-26% THC it is strong enough to surprise newcomers, so pace yourself.

Growing The Real Amnesia Indoors and Outdoors

Indoors, plan for height. The Real Amnesia stretches noticeably after the flip to 12/12, so top it once or twice in veg and spread the branches under a SCROG net. Flip early if your tent is under 180 cm (71 in). The 9-week flowering time is short for a haze, and the canopy fills with long, dense, resin-coated spears.

Feeding should be moderate; sativa-dominant plants dislike heavy nutrient loads. High mold resistance helps the long colas stay clean, but good airflow is still important during the last weeks.

Outdoors, this is a towering plant that can reach 240 cm (94 in). It handles both warm and cold climates, and its high mold resistance helps through damp autumn weather. Harvest falls at the end of October, so choose a sunny spot with a long season, give the roots plenty of space, and support heavy branches with stakes.
