White Widow Auto by Dutch Passion

White Widow Auto puts the legendary white frost of Dutch Passion’s original White Widow on an autoflowering timeline. After several years of selection, the breeders built this auto from a very special White Widow mother plant, and the result keeps the trait that made the photoperiod famous: buds so thickly coated in trichomes that they look dipped in sugar.

As an autoflower, it starts blooming by itself regardless of day length. There is no 12/12 switch to plan, so plants can stay under 18/6 or 20/4 from seed to finish. Indoors, White Widow Auto is ready around 70-75 days after germination, or about 10-12 weeks; outdoors it takes around 85-90 days. Pre-flowers usually appear between day 25 and 30, and most growth is done after 5-6 weeks.

Plants stay manageable at 60-100 cm (23.6-39.4 in), with a compact, medium frame, thick branches and lots of side shoots under strong light. That small footprint and short cycle make it easy to fit several harvests into a year.

For an auto, potency is serious: THC typically lands between 15-20% in a stable climate with plenty of light. Dutch Passion rates the yield XL, with averages of around 450-500 g/m² (1.47-1.64 oz/ft²).

Aroma, Flavor, and Effect

White Widow Auto smells strong from early on, and the scent grows as the buds tighten and resin builds. After a good cure the aroma turns fruity, creamy and fresh, with lemon, vanilla and grapefruit giving it a tart yet sweet character. The flavor is fresh and citrusy, sweet and sometimes a little spicy.

The high opens with an uplifting, euphoric and creative head buzz, then settles into a powerful body stone that lasts for several hours. Plenty of growers describe a real couch-lock finish. Harvesting a little later, once more trichomes turn amber, makes the end effect even heavier, which is ideal for evening gaming or movie nights.

Growing White Widow Autoflower Seeds

This is one of the easiest autos in the Dutch Passion lineup and a great fit for beginners. Soil, coco and organic mixes all work; hydro systems such as DWC bring out the biggest results. Experienced indoor growers can pass 200 g (7.1 oz) per plant in hydro, while 75-100 g (2.6-3.5 oz) is achievable for newcomers in soil or coco. Outdoors, expect roughly 50-150 g (1.8-5.3 oz) per plant depending on sun hours and climate.

For outdoor growing, Dutch Passion suggests starting seedlings indoors on 24/0 or 20/4 for about two weeks, then moving them outside once the weather allows. Because the cycle is only about three months, plants finish well before cold fall weather, which makes this auto a smart option for short northern summers.

Indoors, a short pre-growth of 2-2.5 weeks, a stable 20-27 °C (68-81 °F) and strong lights on about 20 hours a day can allow six or even seven cycles a year. Use good carbon filters, since the smell is strong throughout the grow.
