SFV OG Auto by Dutch Passion

SFV OG Auto is an autoflower for OG purists who want the real smell of LA. Dutch Passion crossed a cutting of the famous San Fernando Valley OG with one of its most loved autos, Auto Glueberry OG, and the two OGs proved to be a great match: vigorous, sticky plants with deep, pungent Kush character.

Recognition came almost immediately. Right after its official release, SFV OG Auto won 1st prize in the autoflower category at the 2023 Highlife Cup in the Netherlands. Judges singled out its frosty bag appeal and strong-smelling terpenes.

There is no 12/12 switch with this one. As an autoflower, it blooms automatically and typically goes from seed to harvest in 10-12 weeks under an 18/6 or 20/4 schedule. Independent testing put THC above 20%, and Dutch Passion lists the range at 20-25%, placing it among the most potent autos in the catalog.

Plants average 75-100 cm (30-39 in), produce long, resin-caked colas and earn an XL yield rating of around 450-500 g/m² (1.47-1.64 oz/ft²) indoors.

OG Aroma, Flavor, and Effects

This is classic OG: a pungent mix of earth and diesel layered with sour, sometimes citrusy notes, chemical sharpness, pine and earthy Kush. The flavor follows suit, mostly earthy and spicy with a sour twist. If you like flowers you can smell from across the room, this one delivers.

Odor control is essential. Use fresh, high-quality carbon filters throughout the grow and plan extra odor control at harvest, or the whole neighborhood will know it is chop day.

The high starts with a strong mental lift and then settles into a pleasant physical relaxation, giving you a true hybrid effect that is euphoric yet soothing. It won’t glue you to the couch, and it won’t leave you wired. It is long-lasting and strong, so it is better suited to experienced consumers than beginners, and it works during the day or in the evening when bed isn’t the next stop.

Growing SFV OG Autoflower Seeds

SFV OG Auto is a full hybrid in appearance, with leaves leaning slightly Sativa. It grows fast and vigorously with average internodes, which leaves room for long, full colas that often merge late in bloom. The Indica side shows up in the heavy resin and the earthy Kush terpenes. It is a little shorter than its Auto Glueberry OG parent, though the occasional XXL plant can reach 125-150 cm (49-59 in), especially in hydro.

It suits natural grows, SOG and SCROG alike. Individual plants commonly yield 50-150 g (1.8-5.3 oz) indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse. Use strong, deeply penetrating LEDs so the lower buds develop fully. To push the harvest higher, keep the canopy level with supercropping, bending or a SCROG net; Dutch Passion notes this can turn an XL crop into an XXL one.

In large 20-30 L (5.3-7.9 gal) pots, plants may need about 80-90 days to finish, while a SOG with smaller pots can speed things up slightly. In moderate outdoor conditions, add 1-2 weeks. Thanks to its Auto Glueberry OG parent, it tolerates slightly higher humidity than compact Kush autos.

For timing, check the trichomes with a loupe or microscope and harvest when about 10-20% have turned amber. Wear gloves at harvest and keep alcohol or oil on hand to clean resin from your scissors.
