Ice Cream Haze joins two very different eras of cannabis. On one side is an old-school Crockett’s Haze selection, a fast, vigorous Sativa known for exceptional production. On the other is Ice Cream Cake (Gelato x Wedding Cake), a modern American dessert favorite with compact, frosty buds and a loud, creamy terpene profile. Breeder Antonio, whose work has collected 35 cannabis cups over seven years, brought them together as an F1 hybrid in Dutch Passion’s US-inspired range.
The cross was first released only as regular seeds. After strong feedback from growers, Dutch Passion introduced this feminized version, so every seed can be counted on to grow into a flowering, bud-producing female with no males to cull.
The plant inherits a little more from its Haze mother, giving it a Sativa-dominant look with long leaves and full, spear-shaped colas, while the Ice Cream Cake side tightens the buds and speeds up the finish. At 8-10 weeks of flowering, it is relatively quick for a Haze.
Flavor, Effects, and a Hazy Dessert Profile
This is a loud strain. The core aroma is a spicy, penetrating Haze, layered with tropical fruit and the smooth, thick creaminess of ice cream. Some phenotypes lean strongly toward fruity, spicy Haze; others echo the Ice Cream Cake parent with its rich Gelato-derived funk. The real prizes in a pack are the plants that blend both.
On the palate the Haze side generally leads: spicy, yet fresh and fruity at the same time. Toward the end of bloom the smell can become intensely strong, so heavy-duty extraction and a fresh carbon filter are strongly advised.
The high is potent and lasts for several hours. It is a hybrid effect that leans toward the mind, with an energetic, euphoric head high. It can creep, starting gently and building over time, so pace yourself. As it matures, the effect turns relaxing and dreamy while you stay present.
Growing Feminized Ice Cream Haze
Ice Cream Haze is stable, robust and easy to grow, with obvious F1 hybrid vigor in both veg and bloom. Branches are strong and stiff, internodes are short to medium, and the bud sites stack into fat, fused colas. Main tops grown naturally often reach 25-50 cm (9.8-19.7 in) long and usually need support.
After the flip to 12/12, expect stretching for roughly 2.5-4 weeks. That makes her a great fit for both SOG and SCROG, the two methods that give the highest yields. For SOG, run 12-16 plants per m² (about 1.1-1.5 per ft²) with a short veg; for SCROG, use 2-4 plants per m² (about 0.2-0.4 per ft²) in large fabric or air pots with a longer veg. Topping, FIM and LST also help control height.
She tolerates heat of 30-35+ °C (86-95+ °F), but very high temperatures can slow ripening, so aim for 21-27 °C (70-81 °F) indoors.
Outdoors, she needs a warm, sunny and fairly dry climate, such as Mediterranean-style weather or sunny hill country; she is not suited to cold, wet regions. In good conditions plants easily reach 3 m (9.8 ft) tall and nearly as wide, yielding about 0.5-1 kg per plant (17.6-35.3 oz/plant) or more, especially when started indoors before the season. Large 100-500 L (26-132 gal) fabric pots work very well.

FAQ
How much THC does Ice Cream Haze have?
On average 18-25% THC, with some phenotypes reaching up to about 28% in perfect growing conditions.
How long does Ice Cream Haze take to flower?
Around 8-10 weeks, which is fast for a Haze. The stretch lasts roughly 2.5-4 weeks after switching to 12/12.
What yields can I expect from Ice Cream Haze?
Indoors, about 600 g/m² (1.97 oz/ft²), with experts achieving around 700 g/m² (2.29 oz/ft²). Outdoors in warm, sunny climates, plants average 0.5-1 kg (17.6-35.3 oz) each.
Is Ice Cream Haze easy to grow?
Yes. She is stable, vigorous and adaptable to most grow systems. Plan for her stretch and heavy colas by using SOG, SCROG or topping, and invest in strong odor control.
Why choose feminized Ice Cream Haze seeds?
Feminized seeds grow into flowering females, so every plant in your space produces buds. It is the simplest way to grow Ice Cream Haze for harvest without sexing and removing male plants.
