CBG-Force by Dutch Passion

CBG-Force is not a typical cannabis strain. Instead of chasing THC, Dutch Passion bred it to produce large amounts of CBG (cannabigerol), the cannabinoid often called the mother of cannabinoids because the plant converts it into THC, CBD and others as it matures. Most strains finish with very little CBG left. CBG-Force keeps it, landing in the 10-15% CBG range while THC stays below 0.2%.

This is the feminized photoperiod version, presented by Dutch Passion as the first CBG-rich photoperiod variety and the starting point of its CBG work. The breeders developed it through selective breeding from an old gene pool and were surprised by what they saw: frosty, orange-haired buds that look like any resinous flower but feel far less sticky to the touch, with a subtle rather than pungent smell. An autoflowering sibling, Auto CBG-Force, followed later.

CBG-Force belongs to Dutch Passion’s Special Cannabinoids line, aimed at people who want something different from high-THC flower: a mellow, clear experience with an unusual cannabinoid profile and a pleasant, light flavor.

Aroma, Flavor and Effect

The aroma is fresh and gently spicy, with fruity citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit, a creamy side and a touch of pine. It is not a loud strain, which many growers appreciate. The smoke is smooth and easygoing, whether in a joint or a vaporizer.

With THC kept so low, CBG-Force does not produce the classic high or stone. Dutch Passion describes the effect as mild, non-intoxicating and physically relaxed, with some people noticing a sense of mental clarity. For those who want to enjoy cannabis flavor and ritual while staying clear-headed, this is a very different kind of session.

Growing CBG-Force Feminized Seeds

CBG-Force is a medium-sized plant with a compact-to-medium build, short to medium internodes and an average stretch after the switch to 12/12. She branches well and takes topping, LST and SCROG in stride, so you can shape her to your space. Most phenotypes are ready 7-8 weeks after the flip, with Dutch Passion giving 7-9 weeks as a general range. Outdoors, flowering may take 1-2 weeks longer depending on climate.

Expect around 400-500 g/m² (1.31-1.64 oz/ft²) indoors. Outdoors, plants usually produce about 100-500 g per plant (3.5-17.6 oz/plant), and experienced growers can exceed 500 g (17.6 oz). Because she flowers as the days get shorter, choose the fastest phenotypes for outdoor runs, offer some shelter and ventilation, and use greenhouses mainly in warm, dry areas or with climate control.

The buds have good bag appeal: white with frost and orange pistils, yet much less tacky than THC- or CBD-rich flower. Monitor your feeding carefully, build nutrient strength slowly and keep air moving through the canopy for vigorous, CBG-rich harvests.
