LFG by Barney's Farm

LFG is the product of a partnership between Barney’s Farm and Cypress Hill’s B-Real, crossing Lemon Cherry Gelato with Gelato #41. The result is a 60% Indica / 40% Sativa feminized hybrid rated at around 32% THC, with elite phenotypes that can push even higher.

It balances citrus zest and creamy sweetness, and grows into a compact, vigorous plant that fills a canopy quickly.

Indoors, plants reach 100–110 cm (39–43 in) and produce up to 550 g/m² (1.80 oz/ft²) in 60–65 days. Outdoors, they grow to 120–150 cm (47–59 in) and can yield up to 1,000 g/plant (35.3 oz/plant).

Lemon Cherry Gelato supplies the citrus brightness and uplifting head, while Gelato #41 adds a thick resin layer, creamy sweetness and body relaxation.

The buds are dense and slightly elongated, in lime and forest-green shades with fiery orange pistils and a frosted crystalline glaze.

The collaboration pairs Barney’s Farm’s European breeding experience with B-Real’s deep roots in West Coast cannabis culture. The goal was a modern Gelato-family hybrid that keeps the bright, fruity character of Lemon Cherry Gelato while gaining the resin output and creamy depth of Gelato #41.

Aroma, Flavor and Effect

Break open a bud and lemon zest jumps out first, followed by creamy sweetness, subtle vanilla and a faint diesel note. Earthy wood and pine add depth.

On the palate, tangy citrus dominates, quickly balanced by creamy, gelato-like flavors. On the exhale, a light diesel kick appears with sweet berry and pine, finishing like lemon curd with a pinch of spice.

The effect starts with an energetic, creative mental lift that makes social situations easier, then warm body relaxation settles in. The euphoria stays clear-headed, and at around 32% THC, it is strong.

Growing LFG Indoors and Outdoors

Indoors, LFG reaches 100–110 cm (39–43 in) and grows vigorously yet stays controllable. Topping and LST encourage lateral branching and better light exposure, and its strong branch structure makes filling a canopy easy. Flowering takes 60–65 days, with yields up to 550 g/m² (1.80 oz/ft²).

Outdoors, plants grow to 120–150 cm (47–59 in) and finish in the second to third week of October in the Northern Hemisphere, with yields up to 1,000 g/plant (35.3 oz/plant).

Hybrid vigor gives LFG resilient performance, but dense buds still need good airflow and humidity control late in bloom.

Because the indoor frame stays near 100 cm, LFG works well in tents and low rooms. Top once or twice, spread the branches with LST, and flip once the canopy is full. In the final weeks, the resin layer thickens fast and the lemon-and-cream aroma gets loud, so a carbon filter is a smart investment. A careful dry and cure keeps that citrus brightness intact.
