Pineapple Slush XL Auto is a sixth-generation extra-large autoflower that Sweet Seeds released in February 2025 as variety SWS114. It combines an exotic elite clone of Pineapple Express (Trainwreck x Hawaiian) with the breeder’s own Sweet Mandarine Z XL Auto (SWS102), and the outcome is a tropical, citrus-loaded plant with abundant resin.

The genetics sit almost exactly in the middle, with 48.7% Indica, 50.9% Sativa and only 0.4% Ruderalis. Plants show a classic hybrid frame: strong, plentiful side branches, short internodes and a generous central bud, finishing between 55 and 135 cm (22–53 in) tall.

THC is listed at 22–28%, which places this strain among the most potent autos in the Sweet Seeds lineup. Add a full cycle of 8–9 weeks from germination and resin that coats both the flowers and the nearby leaves, and it is easy to see why it was designed with extract makers in mind.

Pineapple Express Meets Sweet Mandarine Z XL Auto

Sweet Seeds used a selected line of Sweet Mandarine Z XL Auto as the genetic base. That auto, itself bred from Sweet Mimosa XL Auto (SWS94) x Z, already brought heavy resin and a loud citrus nose. To add a tropical layer, the breeder introduced a very exotic Pineapple Express clone descending from Trainwreck and Hawaiian.

The resulting modern hybrid has tall main stems, trichomes of an ideal size for high-quality extractions and an organoleptic profile that leans into fruit and citrus. It is aimed at collectors of next-generation XL autos who value flavor and resin as much as speed.

Aroma, Flavor and Effect

The bouquet is an explosion of pineapple and mandarin, sweet and juicy, with a slight sour bite that keeps the fruit from tasting flat. Behind the citrus a subtle woody undertone adds depth, a bit like fresh pineapple chunks served on a cedar board. The flavor carries those same notes through the smoke and leaves a clean, tangy finish.

Growing Pineapple Slush XL Auto Indoors and Outdoors

Indoors the breeder reports 350–450 g/m² (1.15–1.47 oz/ft²). The strong branching responds well to LST: bend the main stem gently in week two or three to lift the side branches into an even canopy. Good airflow helps, since the buds are dense and heavily frosted.
