Cream Caramel Auto is one of the strains that helped change how growers think about autoflowers. Sweet Seeds credits genetics like this one with the re-evolution of the category, and it still delivers dense, sticky buds with a sweet caramel and earthy nose in about 8 weeks from germination.

It is a compact, mostly Indica plant at 40–90 cm (16–35 in), ideal for small tents, closets and balconies. THC is listed at 18% with 1.6% CBD, a pairing that produces a strong yet rounded effect.

Indoors, Sweet Seeds lists 350–500 g/m² (1.15–1.64 oz/ft²); outdoors, each plant returns 35–100 g (1.2–3.5 oz) per plant. By the end of flowering the buds look as resinous as those of the photoperiod Cream Caramel.

Lineage: The Autoflowering Cream Caramel

Cream Caramel Auto (SWS22) is the autoflowering version of Cream Caramel (SWS04), one of the breeder’s flagship photoperiod strains. Sweet Seeds crossed it with its top second-generation autoflowers, producing a third-generation hybrid with plenty of hybrid vigor.

The final mix is 83% Indica, 13.9% Sativa and 3.1% Ruderalis. Sweet Seeds lists a 2nd prize for autoflowering genetics at the VI Copa Cannábica Expogrow in Irún (2017) and a 3rd prize in the outdoor category at the Copa Genéticas Expocáñamo in Seville (2016).

Aroma, Flavor and Effect

The aroma lives up to the name: sweet caramel and toffee notes rise over a deep earthy base, with musky undertones and a touch of dry wood. It is pungent, warm and comforting rather than fruity.

On the palate it feels like a caramel candy unwrapped in a cedar cabin after rain: sweet at first, then earthy and woody on the long finish. The resin hardens as the buds dry, which helps the flavor hold through the jar.

Sweet Seeds describes the effect as creative, relaxing, happy and psychoactive. It starts with a cheerful, imaginative lift and gradually sinks into the body, a solid choice for an easygoing evening, music or a slow weekend afternoon.

Growing Cream Caramel Auto Indoors and Outdoors

Cream Caramel Auto flowers on its own, so there is no 12/12 switch. Keep it under 18/6 or 20/4 from germination to harvest, about 8 weeks in total. Sow it directly into a final pot of around 7–11 liters (2–3 gallons); its compact size does not need more.

Short internodes and good side-branch development create a tidy, bushy plant. Indoors, a sea-of-green layout with many small plants or light LST on each one fills the space efficiently toward 350–500 g/m² (1.15–1.64 oz/ft²). Keep humidity moderate late in bloom, as the buds are very dense.

Outdoors, it suits patios, balconies and small gardens. At 40–90 cm (16–35 in) it stays discreet while producing 35–100 g (1.2–3.5 oz) per plant, and its fast cycle allows several runs between spring and late summer in warm regions.
