Red Tropicana Cookies Auto is partly based on the limited-edition Red Tropicana Cookies, a vigorous sativa-dominant photoperiod. Dutch Passion crossed it with Auto Night Queen, the cup-winning indica auto, to merge sativa power and fruit-bomb terpenes with indica compactness and speed. The result is a strong, uniform, commercially appealing autoflower.
The average cycle is 11 weeks from seed, and under perfect conditions some phenotypes finish 7-10 days early, around 65-70 days. During veg she grows fast, with thick stems, bushy branching and broad, fat-fingered leaves; once flowering begins she stretches nicely and opens up into a compact-to-medium plant with average internodes and long, continuous colas.
Indoors the average harvest is around 500 g/m² (1.64 oz/ft²), and expert growers can pull 550-650 g/m² (1.80-2.13 oz/ft²), especially in a SOG. THC normally sits at 15-20%, but well-grown plants often reach 20-24% and can touch 25%.
Tropical Terpenes and Purple Bag Appeal
This is not a standard cannabis smell. Expect an intense, sweet tangie note layered with pineapple, mango and zesty citrus, supported by earthy kush, creamy undertones and, more rarely, a hint of skunk. The flavor is sweet and sour with clear citrus, and some phenotypes deliver an unusual blueberry-yogurt taste.
Color is a big part of the appeal. About half of the plants show purple accents, roughly 15-25% turn fully purple, and a similar share stays green. Pink and red tones can appear too. Combined with heavy trichome coverage and bright orange pistils, the bag appeal is top-tier, and the good flower-to-leaf ratio keeps trimming quick.
The high is potent even when harvested on mostly milky trichomes: creative and energetic, with a clear relaxing body effect. Let 10-25% of trichomes turn amber and the experience becomes more powerful and heavy, a trait inherited from Auto Night Queen. She works for afternoons and evenings, though most will prefer something lighter first thing in the morning.
Growing Red Tropicana Cookies Auto
She is robust, resilient and fast-growing, which makes her suitable for beginners as well as commercial growers looking for a uniform crop. Dutch Passion recommends a 20/4 light schedule, and her hybrid leaf and growth profile make her extremely well suited to SOG. Height can be managed by tucking, bending or supercropping.
Because the large, dense buds can be prone to rot, keep relative humidity low through flowering, maintain strong airflow and remove some leaves toward the end of bloom.
Outdoors she usually needs about 80-90 days from seed. Choose the sunniest, driest summer months, and in temperate climates grow during the warmest three months in pots so plants can be moved under cover during bad weather. Very cold, humid climates are not recommended.
