CBD Mazar was born from demand. When Dutch Passion’s CBD Charlotte’s Angel became one of the most sought-after CBD strains around, the breeders set out to create a faster, more compact version with the same CBD focus. They crossed Charlotte’s Angel with Mazar, one of the most stable Indica-dominant lines in the Dutch Passion collection, and landed on a CBD-rich feminized photoperiod that flowers 1-3 weeks quicker than its sativa-leaning parent.

The numbers are what make this strain stand out. Dutch Passion lists CBD at 10-13% while THC stays below 1%, with typical readings around 0.4-0.5%. That puts the CBD:THC ratio at roughly 10:1 and in many cases far higher, so the experience stays mild and clear-headed.

The Mazar side shows in the plant: broad, thick-fingered dark green leaves, strong branches and compact, hard flowers with an excellent flower-to-leaf ratio. CBD Mazar took 1st place in the CBD category at the 2022 Highlife Cup organised by Soft Secrets, where the judges singled out the tight buds and distinctive terpene profile.

Indoors, plan on around 8 weeks of flowering, with some phenotypes finishing near 7.5 weeks in ideal conditions. Yields are officially rated Large, with indoor averages of 400-500 g/m² (1.31-1.64 oz/ft²).

Terpenes, Flavor, and a Calm, Clear Effect

The bouquet leans earthy, with spice, pine and a light lift of citrus and flowers. Some plants drift toward a sour, earthy Kush character, while others come across more piney and peppery. The flavor follows the nose: earthy, a little sour and spicy, sometimes floral on the inhale and citrusy on the exhale. Dutch Passion names myrcene, alpha- and beta-pinene, limonene and caryophyllene as the five most common terpenes.

With so little THC, CBD Mazar does not deliver a classic high. What most people notice is a calm, relaxed state of mind and a gentle, unwinding body feel, while staying clear-headed enough to get on with the day. It is a natural fit for anyone who enjoys cannabis flavor and ritual but prefers to skip strong intoxication, or for newcomers who want to start mild.

The buds are also resinous enough for oils and concentrates, and their convex, compact shape makes them quick to trim by hand or by machine, which is a big plus for larger grows.

Growing CBD Mazar Feminized Seeds

CBD Mazar is a stable, uniform plant with a compact-to-medium frame and small-to-medium internodes. It shines in a Sea of Green, but it also responds well to topping, FIMing or supercropping if you want a wider plant. Soil, coco and hydro all work, and coco or hydro tend to bring out the most weight. LED or HPS lighting both deliver strong results.

Humidity is the one thing to manage carefully. Dutch Passion recommends keeping indoor humidity well below 50%, ideally around 35-40% during late flowering, because the dense buds dislike damp air. Outdoors, she prefers a warm, dry climate and benefits from a rain shelter and some airflow. In warmer regions she usually finishes in mid to late September; in more temperate zones, around late September to mid October. Outdoor and greenhouse plants can yield roughly 250-750 g (8.8-26.5 oz) each.
