Rainbow Sherbet is Barney’s Farm’s dessert-style hybrid built from Champagne and Blackberry, split evenly at 50% Indica and 50% Sativa. The breeder lists THC at 28%, and the finished flowers match that number with multicolored calyxes, a heavy trichome coat, and a sweet melon-and-cream finish.

As a feminized photoperiod line, every seed is bred to grow into a female plant, so growers can commit their space to flowering plants instead of sexing seedlings and pulling males. Indoors the plants stay compact at 100–120 cm (39–47 in), which keeps them easy to fit inside a standard tent.

Production is generous for the frame: up to 600 g/m² (1.97 oz/ft²) indoors after a 56–63 day bloom, and up to 1,000 g (35.3 oz) per plant outdoors, where plants reach about 150 cm (59 in) and finish in the third or fourth week of September.

The 50/50 ratio shows in the plant itself. Branching is vigorous enough to train like a sativa-leaning hybrid, yet the flowers set dense and well structured the way indica-heavy lines do. Calyx color shifts from bud to bud as the plants ripen, which is where the rainbow in the name comes from.

Fruit leads the nose, followed by sugar, tropical notes and a sticky candy layer that keeps building through the final weeks of bloom. The terpenes develop in stages, so the smell gets richer from week six to harvest and continues to deepen through the cure.

The taste follows a clear sequence. Fresh melon lands first, sweetness takes over mid-draw, and a broader fruit note leads into a creamy, sherbet-like finish on the exhale. A slow dry and an unhurried cure keep that creamy edge intact.

Effects arrive in phases. The opening is focused and clear-headed, with a creative lift that keeps building, followed by a euphoric rise in mood. Later a body stone settles in and loosens the shoulders, while the mind stays sharp enough for music, conversation or a project.

At 28% THC this is not a light session strain, so newer consumers should take it slow.

Indoors, Rainbow Sherbet finishes in 56–63 days of 12/12 and stays at 100–120 cm (39–47 in). Strong vegetative growth responds well to topping, LST and a SCROG net, which spread the canopy so the dense colas receive even light. A three to four week veg is usually enough to fill a screen.

Environmental control is what pushes terpene and cannabinoid levels to their peak. The buds pack tight, so keep humidity in check in late flower and run steady air exchange. Slightly cooler nights in the last two weeks can help bring out the colored calyx tones.

Outdoors, plants grow to around 150 cm (59 in) and can produce up to 1,000 g (35.3 oz) each in full sun and rich soil. Harvest lands in the third to fourth week of September in the Northern Hemisphere, which suits regions where autumn rain arrives in October.

Indoor yields reach up to 600 g/m² (1.97 oz/ft²) under strong lighting and dialed feeding. The resin coverage across the flowers also makes the trim worth saving for hash or rosin.
