Mimosa EVO is Barney’s Farm’s supercharged take on the famous Mimosa, fortified with Orange Punch from the breeder’s vault. The result is a 60% Indica, 40% Sativa feminized hybrid with THC tested at up to 32%, big frosted buds and a tropical citrus profile that fills a room.

This is a heavy producer. Indoors, plants reach a tidy 100-120 cm (39-47 in) and can return 700-800 g/m² (2.29-2.62 oz/ft²) in a dialed setup. Outdoors, Mimosa EVO turns into a giant, rising to 180-220 cm (71-87 in) with harvests of around 2,000 g (70.5 oz) per plant.

As a feminized photoperiod strain, every seed is bred to grow into a flowering female, so growers can plan a full canopy without sexing plants. Barney’s Farm notes that while 32% THC is possible in expert hands, typical results sit lower, still more than enough for most consumers.

Mimosa EVO Lineage: Mimosa x Orange Punch

The original Mimosa is an Emerald Triangle favorite bred by Symbiotic Genetics from Clementine and Purple Punch. Barney’s Farm took that cut and crossed it with its own Orange Punch to create an evolved version, hence the EVO name.

Orange Punch reinforces the orange-peel terpenes and adds vigor and bud mass, while the Mimosa side keeps the bright, tangy citrus and the Purple Punch berry undertone. The 60% Indica balance shows in the thick colas and sturdy branches, and the Sativa share adds stretch and a lively mood.

Aroma, Flavor and Effect

The aroma reads like a glass of fruit punch with fresh-cut tangerine and citrus zest. Breaking open a bud releases sweet orange and lemon, with a soft berry note underneath that becomes clearer after a good cure.

On the palate, tropical lemon and orange citrus arrive first, followed by berry on the exhale. It tastes like a tropical mimosa served over crushed berries: bright, juicy and smooth rather than harsh.

Growing Mimosa EVO Indoors and Outdoors

Indoors, Mimosa EVO flowers in 65-70 days after switching to 12/12. At 100-120 cm (39-47 in), it fits most grow tents, but give it extra floor space, because the side branches load up with heavy buds. Topping early and running a SCROG net spread the canopy, and branch supports help late in bloom.

Outdoors, this is a plant for growers with room to spare. It can tower to 180-220 cm (71-87 in), and in a sunny spot with large pots or open ground it can yield around 2,000 g (70.5 oz) per plant. Barney’s Farm lists the outdoor harvest for the third to fourth week of October in the Northern Hemisphere.

The dense, resin-heavy flowers make Mimosa EVO good material for hash and rosin. Keep humidity in check during the last weeks of bloom to protect those big colas.
